In Sawyer, MI circa 1997 my Dad shaped our first skim boards out of plywood. At that moment, Lake Michigan became the ultimate playground for the three Gagliardo brothers. As groms, our summers were packed with all forms of water sports on The Big Lake. Over time surfing became our passion, but we weren’t going to let our Midwest location dictate our stoke. We didn’t care if the conditions were mostly small, blown out, or “too cold” we just loved being creative and keeping the stoke alive. This resulted in surfing on and in anything we could dream up. As the years rolled on we became friends with other riders all over the world who shared our passion for surfing but were not privy to living near an ocean coastline. Land Locked Surfing exists to serve the growing ranks of surfers passionate about progressing their craft no matter their location. You want to join the crew? Its way to easy!
